Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This is an English translation, provided for convenience. The legally binding text is the Spanish one, Términos y condiciones; if they differ, the Spanish version prevails.
These terms govern the use of Folioss. By creating an account or using the service you accept these conditions, so we recommend that you read them carefully.
Purpose of the service
Folioss is a SaaS platform for creating professional pages (Folios) to present your résumé, portfolio, projects, personal brand or services, and to share them through a link, a QR code or NFC cards.
Folioss also includes a professional network: a directory where anyone who wants to can switch on a profile so that others find them by trade and by area, and where anyone can search. Using the network is voluntary and free, and it has its own rules in the Network Conditions, which are part of these terms.
The professional network
In the network, Folioss only hosts and displays what each person writes. We are not an employer, a placement agency, a temporary employment agency or an intermediary in the deal: we don't charge commission on the work that comes from here, we don't take part in the conditions you agree, we don't check anyone and we don't guarantee any result.
Folioss doesn't verify degrees, professional memberships, licences, insurance or identities. Everything that appears on a profile is stated by whoever writes it, under their own responsibility. Before hiring someone, check it yourself.
Job seekers are never charged. It is strictly forbidden to use the network to ask a candidate for a payment for a job offer, for compulsory training, for materials or to "reserve the place", and it is grounds for immediate removal.
The full rules (what you can publish, how to report, what can happen to your profile and how to appeal) are in the Network Conditions.
Account and registration
To use Folioss you need to create an account with truthful, up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out with your account.
You must be 16 or older to register. You confirm it, and accept these Terms, by pressing the button with which you create the account ("Create Account", "Continue with Google" or "Continue" on the "One last step" screen that appears the first time you sign in with Google). Before pressing it you can see, above the buttons, the notice that says so, with the link to these Terms. If we detect that an account belongs to a person under that age, we will delete it.
Plans, prices and payments
Folioss offers a free plan with limited features and paid plans with advanced features. The specific conditions of the plans (prices, renewals, cancellations, refunds and the free Pro trial) are detailed in the Subscriptions and Payments Policy (in Spanish: folioss.com/politicas/pagos).
User content
You are solely responsible for the content you publish on your Folio. By using Folioss you declare that you have the necessary rights over that content and that publishing it doesn't infringe third-party rights or the applicable law.
You keep ownership of your content. You grant us the licence strictly necessary to store it, show it to the people who visit your Folio and provide you with the service. If you switch on your network profile, that same licence covers showing it in the search, in the search results and in the preview that is generated when someone shares its link. Nothing more: we don't use your content for advertising or give it to third parties.
You are also answerable to others for what you publish. If someone makes a claim against Folioss over your content (for example, because you used photos that weren't yours or published another person's data), you are the one liable for that damage.
Instagram and TikTok accounts you connect
With the "Social Media Feed" block, on the plans that include it, you can connect your Instagram account (professional accounts only, Business or Creator) or your TikTok account to a Folio to show your profile and your latest posts on it.
- You can only connect accounts that are yours or that you manage with their owner's permission. By connecting one you authorise us to read, with the permissions you accept on Instagram or TikTok, your profile and your latest posts, and to show them on that Folio. We don't publish anything on your behalf or do anything else with the account.
- What is shown is your content: you are answerable for it like for the rest of your Folio (see "User content"), and when using those accounts you remain bound by Instagram's and TikTok's terms.
- You can disconnect the account whenever you want from the editor, with "Disconnect", or remove Folioss's permission from Instagram or TikTok. What data is stored, for how long and how it is deleted is explained in the Privacy Policy, under "Connected Instagram and TikTok accounts".
- This feature depends on what Instagram and TikTok allow. If they change their services or their terms, or withdraw access, the block may stop updating or stop being available; if that happens, we will let you know as soon as we can.
- Folioss is not owned by Meta or TikTok, and neither of them sponsors or endorses it. Instagram and TikTok are trademarks of their respective owners.
Your address on Folioss
Each Folio has its own public address, like folioss.com/@yourname.
Your username
When you create your account you choose your username, and that is the address of your first Folio. It has between 3 and 30 characters, only letters without accents, numbers and hyphens, and it can't be any of the reserved words we explain below, nor those of Folio addresses or of the network. Like any address, it can't be used to impersonate another person or a brand. It is reserved for your account for as long as the account exists: nobody else can use it, either as a username or as the address of a Folio, and you can put it on any of yours. For now it can't be changed from the account once chosen; if you need to, write to us. If you delete the account, it becomes free, unless it has been the address of a published Folio: then it is blocked forever, like any public address (we explain this below).
The address of each Folio
Other Folios, and the first one in accounts created before usernames existed, get their address automatically from your name (your account name or, if you create the Folio with AI, the name you give the assistant or the one in your résumé), with a word or a short code after it if it is already taken. You can change the address of any Folio, including the first one, later. These are the rules:
- First come, first served. Each address is unique across Folioss: if another Folio already has it, another Folio had it before (previous addresses, and those of what was deleted after being published, are never released, see below) or it is another account's username, it can't be used. And it is yours from the moment you have it, even if your Folio isn't published yet.
- It is free on all plans, including the free one.
- It has between 3 and 80 characters and can only contain letters without accents, numbers, hyphens and underscores. Capital letters are stored in lower case.
- There are reserved words, because they would look like official Folioss pages: for example soporte (support), ayuda (help), admin, seguridad (security), pagos (payments), legal or verificado (verified), also in other languages and even if they are joined together or carry a number (soporte-oficial, admin1). With your name in front they can be used (@marta-soporte). And no address can contain the word "folioss", not even written with numbers (f0lioss).
- You can't use an address to impersonate another person or a brand that isn't yours, just as you can't do it in the content of your Folio.
- You can change it at most 5 times every 6 months on each Folio. Setting the address it already has doesn't count, and neither does the one assigned automatically when the Folio is created.
- When you change it, the previous one remains yours forever: whoever opens it reaches your Folio (if it is published) and nobody else can ever take it. You can go back to it whenever you want, and it counts as one more change. That way, the QR codes, NFC cards and links you have already shared keep leading to you.
- Each Folio keeps at most 10 previous addresses. When it reaches 10, you can no longer give it a new one, so that none of the ones you have already shared has to be released; if you need to, write to us.
- If you delete a Folio that was never published, its address becomes free at that moment. If it was published, its address and the ones it had since you first published it are blocked forever: nobody else can use them, and whoever opens them (also from a QR code or an NFC card) will see "This page no longer exists". We don't store any data of yours with them, only the name. If that Folio's address was your username, the name remains yours as long as you have the account.
- If you delete your account, the same happens to all its addresses that were ever public.
- You can't take addresses to keep them without using them, to sell them or so that the person or brand they correspond to can't use them.
- These rules apply when a Folio is created and when its address is changed. Addresses that already existed before September 27, 2026 are kept as they are, even if they don't comply with them.
We may remove or change an address (also a username) that impersonates Folioss, another person or a brand, that infringes third-party rights or that was taken to hoard it. If it is serious and obvious (for example, an address designed to ask for passwords on behalf of Folioss), we change it first and explain afterwards; in other cases we let you know beforehand. We always tell you which address it is and why, and if you think we have made a mistake you can reply to that same notice or write to legal@folioss.com. It is the only way an address that was once public stops leading to whoever had it: a removed address may become free for whoever is entitled to it.
The address of your network profile
Your network profile has another address, like folioss.com/red/yourname, with its own rules. It isn't chosen by hand: it comes from your username, so it normally matches that of your first Folio (folioss.com/@yourname and folioss.com/red/yourname). If your account predates usernames and has none, it comes from your account name, without accents or symbols, with letters, numbers and hyphens, and it has 2 to 30 characters. If someone else already has it, it gets a number after it (yourname-2) or, if there are already many identical ones, some random letters; and if your name doesn't leave any letters that can be used (for example, because it is written in another alphabet), it gets a neutral one, like persona-k3f9x1. There are reserved words because they are network screens or can't belong to anyone, such as mensajes (messages), trabajos (jobs), admin or ayuda (help).
If your profile's address comes from your account name and you change that name, the address follows it the next time you save the profile, at most once every 30 days. The previous ones (up to twenty) keep leading to your profile, and nobody else can take them while your profile exists.
Acceptable use
You may not use Folioss for illegal or fraudulent purposes or for purposes that harm third parties. The specific rules are set out in the Acceptable Use Policy, which is an integral part of these terms.
If you turn on "Write to me", you are responsible for what you do with the data of the people who write to you; you can't use it to send them advertising without their permission.
Folioss intellectual property
Folioss, its software, brand, logos, templates and designs are the property of the business or of its licensors. Your subscription doesn't give you any rights over the brand or the software beyond the normal use of the service.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or cancel your account if you breach these terms, if you use the platform fraudulently or if a competent authority requires it. Whenever possible, we will let you know in advance. You can cancel your account at any time from the settings panel.
There is one exception to that prior notice, and it is the one the law requires us to apply: when content published in the network is serious and obvious (something illegal, a threat, the impersonation of another person, a third party's data or someone asking a candidate for money) we remove it first and explain afterwards, always with the specific reason and always with the possibility to reply. The details are in the Network Conditions.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Folioss is not liable for indirect damage, loss of profits or loss of data arising from an abnormal use of the service. Our maximum liability towards a user is limited to the amount paid in the twelve months before the event that gives rise to it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or the non-waivable rights that the law grants to consumers.
Changes to the terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal changes or new features. We will let you know by email or from the platform with reasonable notice before they take effect. You can see previous versions in the version archive.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, the competent courts will be those of your place of residence. In all other cases, the parties submit to the courts of the place where Folioss is domiciled.
