Online resume

Create your online resume for free and share it with one link

An online resume is your resume living on its own web page instead of in a PDF: you share it with a link or a QR code, update it whenever you like and see how many times it has been opened. With Folioss you build it for free in minutes: the AI drafts it from the resume you already have, and you make it yours.

What it looks like

Your online resume, in practice

Header, career history and skills: this is how a resume looks when it lives on a page instead of in a PDF (the timeline comes with the paid plans).

The difference

Your PDF resume does the bare minimum. Your online resume works for you

Most resume builders end the same way: with another PDF. Folioss turns your resume into a living page that stands out among hundreds of applications.

The usual

PDF resume

  • It gets lost in an inbox full of attachments
  • It’s out of date the moment anything changes
  • You never know if it was opened
  • Flat text: it can’t show your projects
  • It looks like every other application

With Folioss

Online resume

  • A link of your own that opens anywhere
  • Always current: edit it and the link stays the same
  • Visit stats: you see how many times it’s opened
  • Projects, video and visual blocks
  • A first impression people remember

Asked for the usual file? No problem: your Folio can also offer your resume as a downloadable PDF. You get both.

How it works

Your online resume in 3 steps

You don’t start from scratch: you start from the resume you already have, and the AI does the heavy lifting.

Step 1

Upload your resume PDF

The Folioss AI reads it and drafts your online resume in a few minutes: experience, education, skills and contact details, already laid out in visual blocks.

Step 2

Make it yours

Change colors, order and content in the editor. Add projects, video or testimonials (and, on a paid plan, a timeline): more than 30 blocks to choose from.

Step 3

Share your link

Publish and share your own address by email, on LinkedIn or as a QR code. When you update your resume, the link you already sent shows the latest version.

Benefits

Everything your PDF resume can’t do

Every Folio comes with the tools that turn a resume into opportunities.

Your own link

Your resume lives at an address like folioss.com/@yourname, easy to remember and to add to any application.

Know if it was opened

Built-in visit stats: see how many times your resume was opened in the last 24 hours, 7 or 30 days, and follow up with facts instead of guesswork.

QR code included

Get a QR code for your resume to hand out at job fairs, events or interviews. One scan and they have it.

In 25 languages

On the paid plans, the AI translates your whole resume for you. Apply abroad without keeping three different documents up to date.

Downloadable PDF

Offer your classic PDF resume right from your Folio for the applications that ask you to attach a file.

Custom domain

On the paid plans you can connect your own domain (yourname.com) and give your personal brand a home of its own.

FAQ

Online resume questions

What people usually ask when they move from a PDF to a link.

Is it free to create an online resume with Folioss?
Yes. The free plan lets you create and publish your Folio (your online resume) for as long as you like, with no credit card. It shows a small Folioss watermark; the paid plans remove it and add extras such as a custom domain, advanced blocks or AI translation, but you don’t need them to have your online resume and its link.
How do I make an online resume, step by step?
First, sign up for free and upload your resume as a PDF: the Folioss AI turns it into a Folio with your experience, education and skills already laid out in blocks. Then adjust whatever you like in the editor (colors, order, projects, photo). Finally, publish it and share your link. The whole thing takes a few minutes.
Do I still need a PDF resume?
Often, yes: many application forms and applicant tracking systems (ATS) ask you to attach a file. Keep a clean PDF for those, and put the link to your online resume in it, in your email signature and on LinkedIn. Your Folio can also include a button to download your PDF, so whoever opens the link gets both.
Resume, CV, online resume: what’s the difference?
In the US and Canada, a resume is the short document you send when you apply for a job; in the UK, Ireland and much of Europe the same document is called a CV (in the US, a CV usually means a longer academic record). An online resume is that same content published as a web page with its own link, instead of a file you attach.
How do I share my online resume?
Your Folio has its own address (for example folioss.com/@yourname) that you can paste into an email, an application form, your LinkedIn profile or anywhere else. You can also show its QR code so people open it on the spot.
Can I tell whether someone opened my resume?
You can tell how many times it was opened. Once a PDF is sent, it tells you nothing; your Folio shows how many visits your online resume got in the last 24 hours, 7 or 30 days (and, on the Starter plan, day by day). It doesn’t say who opened it: it shows the activity, so you can follow up at the right moment.
Can my online resume be in more than one language?
Yes. On a paid plan, the Folioss AI translates your whole Folio into 25 languages, and visitors switch language with a selector. Handy if you apply for jobs abroad or in several languages.
