Version archive

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This is an English translation, provided for convenience. The legally binding text is the Spanish one, Archivo de versiones; if they differ, the Spanish version prevails.

Whenever we update any policy, we will keep the previous version available here so that you can compare the changes. That way you always know which conditions you accepted.

01

How the archive works

Each time a policy is substantially modified, we will archive the previous version and publish it here with the dates it was in force. Minor corrections (typos or formatting) may not be listed.

If you ever need the exact version of a policy on a given date, write to us at the contact email and we will send it to you.

Current history

Each policy shows its own date at the top. These are the changes, from oldest to most recent. The one of August 29, 2026 is a single change, and it affects where the most sensitive document you entrust to us is processed:

  • Privacy Policy: the provider that processes your résumé with artificial intelligence changes from DeepInfra (United States) to OVHcloud (France). Your résumé no longer leaves the European Union.
  • Privacy Policy: the international transfers section is rewritten. It used to say that "some providers are outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States". Now it names exactly the two that remain outside —Resend and Cloudflare— and makes clear that neither of them receives your résumé.

On September 17, 2026 a new document was added, the Affiliate Programme Terms (version 2026-09), which replaces the old programme managed outside Folioss. That same day the Cookie Policy started describing the 30-day first-party cookie (folioss_referral) that an affiliate's link leaves; no other policy changes.

On September 18, 2026 those same terms were revised without changing the version: the Friend Plan's minimum payout goes from €100 to €40, and the yearly cap is now expressed as 10 people (€80 at most), because the cap in euros that appeared before could not be reached. Both changes are in the affiliate's favour and don't affect companies or the self-employed.

On September 19, 2026 they were revised again without changing the version: the invited person also receives 5,000 Folioss credits with their first payment, only once ("Credits instead of money" section). It is a new benefit for the invited person and changes nothing about what the affiliate receives or owes.

On September 25, 2026 the Privacy Policy was updated (providers section): if you create your folio by dictating to the assistant by voice, the recording is sent to OVHcloud (France, European Union) only to transcribe it, and neither Folioss nor the provider keeps it. No other policy changes.

On September 26, 2026 two texts were updated. Privacy Policy: marketing means Folioss news, offers and giveaways by email, it is accepted or not with a separate, unticked box, and we keep proof of that consent. Terms and Conditions: whoever signs in with Google confirms their age on a screen the first time. Nothing changes about what you can do or what we ask of you.

On September 28, 2026 six texts were updated to explain where everything is now that Folios are shown at folioss.com/@name and the network at folioss.com/red, how their addresses work and who runs Folioss:

  • Terms and Conditions: new section "Your address on Folioss", with the rules for each Folio's address (first come, first served, free, 3 to 80 characters, reserved words, 5 changes every 6 months and the previous one kept for 6 months) and for your network profile's address, and with what we do if an address impersonates someone. Those rules had already applied since September 27, 2026; now they are written down.
  • Privacy Policy: it says who the controller is (before it only said "Folioss"); new section "Your folio's address" (it comes from your name, never from your full email address, it is public and when it appears in search engines); the address of your profile becomes folioss.com/red/yourname and it explains what happens to the previous ones, and it explains "Who has viewed your profile", which already worked and wasn't described here, with its legal basis. From that day, in addition, only visits from people whose profile is switched on are recorded. And it explains how we know how many people reach folioss.com and app.folioss.com: by counting on our server, without your IP or your cookies, and keeping only daily totals for 25 months.
  • Cookie Policy: what is stored on each site (the website, the Folios, the network and app.folioss.com), how long the measurement identifier lasts, what else a Folio's measurement records, the affiliates' channel cookie and the content from other services that a Folio may carry. A sentence that said that whoever has a profile doesn't know who visits it is also corrected. And it explains the count of website visits on our server, which doesn't use cookies or store anything on your device.
  • Legal Notice: it publishes the name, tax ID and address of whoever runs Folioss (before, they were given "on request"), and it covers folioss.com, with the Folios and the network, and app.folioss.com.
  • Network Conditions: the address of your profile comes from your account name, not from a username.
  • NFC Cards Policy: if you change your Folio's address, the card keeps leading to it for six months.

Almost everything describes how Folioss has worked since September 27, 2026. What is new in writing is the cap of 5 address changes every 6 months per Folio (until that day, on paid plans, there was no cap) and that we may remove or change an address that impersonates someone.

On September 30, 2026 the Privacy Policy was updated ("What we use your data for" and "Legal basis" sections): it now names the email reminders about your account (the two notices at most after signing up if you don't publish, the one-off reminder about a half-finished folio and the affiliates' monthly summary), says that their basis is our legitimate interest and how to turn them off. Those emails already existed and relied on the notices about your account; nothing changes about what you receive or what you can do. No other policy changes.

On October 2, 2026 the free Pro trial and the username arrived, and five texts were updated:

  • Subscriptions and Payments Policy: new section "Free Pro trial". It explains who can try Pro free for 7 days (once per person), that a card is requested but nothing is charged until it ends, the reminder email two days before, how to cancel with one click and what happens if you don't continue: you go back to the Free plan without anything being deleted or unpublished.
  • Terms and Conditions: the free Pro trial joins the payment conditions, and the "Your address on Folioss" section explains the username you choose when you create your account: it is the address of your first Folio and of your network profile, it has 3 to 30 characters and it is reserved for your account.
  • Privacy Policy: the username among the account data and in the address of the folio and the profile; the unticked box with which, when creating your account, you can ask for your network profile (which is created switched off); the Pro trial emails, and that we keep your email and a fingerprint of your card, even if you delete your account, so that the trial is one per person.
  • Network Conditions: the address of your profile comes from your username or, if you don't have one, from your account name.
  • Cookie Policy: if you close the Pro trial notice, the app remembers in your browser that you closed it, so as not to show it to you again for 7 days.

Existing accounts don't change: they have no username, and their Folios and their profile keep the addresses they had.

On October 3, 2026 locks, rules by country and by source, and statistics arrived for link pages, and two texts were updated:

  • Privacy Policy: for each visit to a Folio we also record the country, which we work out from the IP address at that moment and without storing it, whether it is a mobile, a tablet or a computer and, if it can be known, the network or app the visit comes from (the countries come from DB-IP's "IP to Country Lite" database, licensed under CC BY 4.0). If a link page shows or hides a link depending on the visitor's country or network, that is decided at that moment and not stored. And if you leave your email on a link page to see a link, your email and your acceptance reach the owner of that page.
  • Cookie Policy: the "Measuring visits to Folios" section explains that same data and where the countries come from (DB-IP's "IP to Country Lite" database, licensed under CC BY 4.0). Nothing new is stored in your browser.

On October 4, 2026 the "Write to me" button arrived, to write to the owner of a Folio from the Folio itself, and three texts were updated:

  • Privacy Policy: the new section "If you write to someone from their Folio (Write to me)" explains what we keep if you write without an account (your name, your email and the conversation, never your IP), how you accept it, how you delete it and that it is deleted automatically 12 months after the last message.
  • Cookie Policy: the identifier of that conversation that your browser keeps ("folioss-escribeme:…" on the Folio and "folioss-escribeme-conversacion" in the tab of the private link) so that you can follow it.
  • Terms and Conditions: whoever turns on "Write to me" is responsible for what they do with the data of whoever writes to them and can't use it to send them advertising without their permission.

On October 10, 2026 public addresses stopped expiring ("print doesn't expire") and four texts were updated:

  • Terms and Conditions, "Your address on Folioss" section: when you change a Folio's address, the previous one keeps leading to it forever (before, it was 6 months) and nobody else can ever take it; each Folio keeps at most 10 previous ones and, when it reaches 10, it can't get a new one; if you delete a Folio that was published, or your account, its public addresses are blocked forever, without any data of yours, and show "This page no longer exists" (before, they became free immediately); addresses can't be taken to hoard them, and we can remove those taken that way, like those that impersonate someone.
  • Privacy Policy: the same in the "Your folio's address" section, and in "How long we keep your data" what we keep from the public addresses of what you delete (only the name and the dates), what for, on what basis and for how long.
  • NFC Cards Policy: if you change your Folio's address, the card keeps leading to it forever (before, it was six months), and if you delete it, it will never lead to someone else's page.
  • Version archive: this entry.

Almost all of it is in your favour. The new things that ask something of you are three: the cap of 10 previous addresses per Folio (before, the oldest one was thrown away and you could keep changing), that an address that was public no longer becomes free for anyone, not even for whoever wants to use it later, and the rule against hoarding addresses.

On October 10, 2026 the way an account is created changed, and with it three texts were updated. These changes only apply to accounts created from that day: nothing changes for those that already existed, and they only receive news and offers if they said yes.

  • Terms and Conditions: being 16 and the Terms are no longer confirmed with a box, but by clicking the button with which the account is created ("Create Account", "Continue with Google" or "Continue" on "One last step"), with the notice that says so in view before clicking.
  • Privacy Policy: it no longer says that marketing is only sent with a "yes" box. New accounts receive Folioss news and offers unless they tick the box "I don't want to receive emails with Folioss news and offers" (in Poland and Italy, only if they tick "I want to receive…"), with free unsubscription in every email and in Settings. The new section "News and offers by email" also explains what proof we keep, that we check the Robinson List before every campaign to people who didn't tell us yes (that is why Adigital, which runs it, joins "Who we share your data with") and that offers from other companies always need a separate yes. The legal basis adds the customer exception of Article 21.2 of the LSSI.
  • Cookie Policy: the temporary cookie that remembers, for 15 minutes, what you were shown when you clicked "Continue with Google" to create your account, and the date on which you answer the dashboard notice that asks whether you want to receive news and offers.

On October 10, 2026 the Cookie Policy also changed for another reason, for all accounts and for people without an account: the two cookies that remember your language are now called "idiomaElegido" (before, "preferredLanguage") and "idiomaEnLaRed" (before, "idiomaDeLaRed"), because opening a Folio no longer changes your language on Folioss; and it explains what your browser keeps if you choose another language in a Folio's "Created with Folioss" window ("folioss:idioma-de-la-ventana") or if you come from it to claim your username ("folioss:arroba-reclamada", 7 days).

On October 10, 2026 two texts were updated to explain what happens when you connect an Instagram or TikTok account to a Folio with the "Social Media Feed" block, and both were also published in English:

  • Privacy Policy: new section "Connected Instagram and TikTok accounts", with what data we bring from each network and with what permissions, what for (only to show it on your Folio), how long we keep it, that the access keys are stored encrypted, how to disconnect the account and how to request deletion from Folioss, from Instagram or TikTok and by email, and that we don't sell or share it. It is also mentioned in the sections on the data we process, purposes, legal basis, retention periods and security.
  • Terms and Conditions: new section "Instagram and TikTok accounts you connect": only accounts that are yours or that you manage with permission, read-only (we never publish on your behalf), you are answerable for what is shown as for the rest of your Folio, you disconnect it whenever you want and the feature depends on what Instagram and TikTok allow.
  • The Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions, in English (folioss.com/en/politicas/privacidad and folioss.com/en/politicas/terminos). They are a translation: if they differ, what the Spanish version says prevails.

On October 10, 2026 the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy also changed:

  • Privacy Policy, "Data we process" and "What we use your data for" sections: if you create your account from a Folio's window, we store in your account which Folio it was, whose it was and the date (not your IP or your browser), to know how many people each person brings us and to be able to thank or reward them. With those figures we calculate, for internal use only, a simple score for each account, which doesn't decide anything on its own. It is based on our legitimate interest, and you can object by writing to us.
  • Cookie Policy: the "folioDelAlta" cookie, which keeps for 15 minutes which Folio you come from if you create your account with "Continue with Google" from a Folio's window, and the "folioss_oauth_instagram" and "folioss_oauth_tiktok" cookies, which api.folioss.com keeps for 15 minutes when you click "Connect" in the "Social Media Feed" block, to check that you were the one who started the connection.

On October 11, 2026 "one @ per person" arrived: your username is your @ and your folios hang from it. These texts were updated:

  • Terms and Conditions, "Your address on Folioss" section, rewritten: your @ is your username and shows your main page; your other Folios hang from it with /links, /card and /portfolio, the same in every language; you can choose your main page; from the Starter plan, a custom name after your @; another @ for a brand or a business, one included in Pro and Enterprise and, very soon, more added to your plan for €1 per month or €10 per year (VAT included); changing your username (free, once every 30 days once it is public, with the previous one leading to you forever and at most five previous ones); all the addresses you already had keep leading to the same Folio, and if you had more than one, the others hang from your @; and what was public never passes to another person.
  • Privacy Policy: the address section is renamed "Your @ and the address of your folios" and explains the "by @yourname" line that new folios carry at the bottom and the data for search engines that links your public folios to each other, and how to remove them, and what happens when you delete a folio that hangs from your @ or whose address was your @; previous usernames, among the account data and in what is kept; and that the address of your network profile follows the name it comes from (your username or, if you didn't choose it yourself and haven't changed it, the account name).
  • Network Conditions: the address of your profile comes from your username; if you didn't choose it yourself (in accounts that predate usernames, or if we gave you one when you created your first folio) and haven't changed it, it comes from the account name.
  • NFC Cards Policy, "Link to your Folio": if you delete a Folio that hangs from your @, its card leads to your @ if you have another published page (and if the Folio's address was your @, it remains yours).
  • The Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions in English, with all these changes.
  • Version archive: this entry.

The addresses that already existed keep working forever: each one leads to the same Folio, with its tabs.

On October 17, 2026 more translations of the legal texts were published, in addition to the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions in English:

The previous version, of August 12, 2026, is the one that launched the network: it added the Network Conditions, the data that becomes public when you switch on your profile, what we keep when someone reports content, and the rule that job seekers are never charged. Before that one, the version of August 11 described Folioss as an individual tool and didn't include the network. If you need either of them, write to us and we will send it to you.
